Capital has access to over 25 pits and quarries. These pits and quarries supply products used to construct highways and roads, to build underground services, and to manufacture concrete and asphalt products. In total, our aggregate division has access to over 2 billion tonnes of crushed stone, gravel and sand for the commercial, industrial, residential and civil engineering sector. Our high quality materials are a result of the technical expertise of our employees, and backed by a demanding quality assurance process which ensures the production of consistent quality aggregates, which meet the required standards and specifications.

Due to aggregate extraction being an interim land use, once the supply is depleted on site rehabilitation of the land begins. Capital’s rehabilitated pits have received numerous environmental awards; this is a testament to our strong commitment to the community and the environment.
